Data Collection Unit (DCU)

The DCU collects the information from the sensors and communicates with the computer for analysis and data storage.

Three connections (sensor head, RPM, oil temperature) plus three for future regulations).

RPM Sensor

The tachometer is an optical sensor, which uses a visible red LED with an operating range of 39".

Oil Temperature Sensor

Long oil temperature probe for all types of trucks.

The laptop computer provided with the system has these specifications:

Windows 95/98/NT(SP-6)/2000/XP; CD ROM, 3½" Floppy Drive; 128 MB RAM, Pentium II 266, VGA/SVGA graphics adapter with 800 x 600 min screen resolution, USB port (for connection to DCU), 25 Pin Parallel (connection to the printer)

Customer’s own laptop must have these minimum specifications, to assure proper operation.

HP battery-operated ink jet (with system) or customer may use own ink jet, desk jet or laser printer.
